It's Fair Season in Grey Bruce! Led mostly by the local Agricultural Associations these Grey Bruce fall fairs are rooted in tradition and provide you and your family with entertainment, education and a wonderful experience.

​Sep 1-3

The 163rd Desboro Fall Fair features a theme of "Plaid Shirts & Denim Skirts". Events include a Jr. Sheep Show, 4-H Calf Club Show, a parade, Desboro Cattle Clash, musical entertainment, Owen Sound City Band performance, and a 4-H Potato Auction. A special 66th Variety Show showcasing local talent will be held on August 28th at the Desboro Music Hall.

Sep 2

The 166th Meaford & St. Vincent Fall Fair emphasizes agricultural education, youth engagement, and community involvement. This year, they introduced a baked goods silent auction with over 70 delicious items. Attendees can bid on tasty treats like cookies, cakes, muffins, pies, bread, and loafs. The auction will continue until 1:30 pm on the day of the fair.

​Sep 1-3

The 163rd Durham Fall Fair has the theme "Along The Fence". The fair will feature old favorites as well as new additions. The President, Deb Tucker, expresses excitement for the interpretations of the theme throughout the fair and emphasizes the importance of sponsors, exhibitors, and volunteers.

​Sep 8-9

The Owen Sound Fall Fair at Victoria Park offers a variety of events including a Baby Show, Roast Beef Dinner, Beef Show, Craft and Vendor Market, Demolition Derby, Truck & Tractor Pulls, Medieval Knight Show, Kids Pedal Tractor Pull, and the Grey County 4-H Showdown.

Sep 8-9

​The Beaver Valley Fall Fair on September 8th and 9th offers a plethora of activities. The fair kicks off with community center registrations, classic championship wrestling, and live music on the first day. The second day is packed with events like a pet show, wildlife exhibits, petting zoo, rock climbing, mechanical bull rides, chainsaw carving, antique tractor displays, dog agility shows, horse shows, apple peeling contests, and Tom Bishop’s Wild West Show. The fair concludes with a roast beef dinner and more live music.

Sep 8-10

The 166th Dundalk Fall Fair, held at the Dundalk Fairgrounds from September 8th to 10th, features the 64th Canadian Open Square Dancing, Step Dancing, Clogging Competition, and Fiddle Contest. The weekend promises a plethora of activities suitable for the entire family.

​Sep 15-17

The 156th Feversham Fall Fair is themed "Family Ties and Homemade Pies!" and is set to be an exciting event. The fair celebrates its rural roots by hosting a variety of exhibits including fruits, vegetables, baking, quilting, crafts, flowers, and photography. They also host antique and field tractor pulls, truck pulls, and the Farmer Olympics. The fair is a testament to the strong sense of community in Feversham and has been a staple event for over 150 years.

Sep 15-17

The Neustadt Fall Fair, themed "Apple Trees and Honey Bees", begins on September 15th with the placing of exhibits and judging. The Ambassador of the Fair and the opening of the fair take place at the Neustadt Community Centre. On September 16th, doors open at 10:30 A.M., followed by a Children's Parade on the grounds at 11 A.M.

Sep 15-16

The annual Chatsworth Agricultural Society Fair is held at the Williamsford Community Centre in Williamsford, Ontario, Canada. The fair invites attendees to enjoy a variety of events and activities, including entertainment, children & youth activities, food vendors, demonstrations, and more. The fair also provides detailed schedules, rules & regulations, and information on how to enter various contests and events.

​Sep 22-24

The Great Northern Exhibition, running since 1855, is set to take place from September 22nd to 24th. This year, they are featuring a special 2023 quilt raffle, where the grand prize quilt is crafted by the homecraft committee and consists of squares from community volunteers. The fair has a rich history, having started in Duntroon and later moving to Collingwood. Since 1984, it has been held on Fairgrounds Road in Clearview Township. The fair celebrates its legacy with a history book detailing its journey from inception to the present day.

​Sep 23

The Rocklyn Fall Fair celebrates its 155th year with the theme "Family Ties and Homemade Pies!" The fair is hosted annually on the 4th Saturday in September in Rocklyn, Ontario. The Rocklyn Agricultural Society, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to presenting a family-friendly fair that emphasizes agricultural and entertainment events. This year, attendees can look forward to a variety of activities, exhibits, and events that showcase the rich agricultural history and traditions of the community.

Ambassador Program, Live Auction of 1st placed baking and preserves, horse show, kids' veggie races and games, entertainment for children and adults, silent auction, contests, demonstrations (chainsaw carving, blacksmith, spinning & weaving), vendors in the hall.

Sep 10

Theme: "Celebrating Agricultural Traditions", BBQ Beef Supper, Agricultural Education Program with 2023 theme "Corn", Ambassador of the Fair Program, Rib Cook-Off, various activities and events throughout the day.

Sep 12-13

Celebrating its 166th anniversary with the theme "Farm Gate to Dinner Plate". Emphasizes the importance of appreciating the farming community amidst rising grocery costs. The fair reintroduced the Family Dance Fundraiser, a pre-Easter event that supports youth activities at the fair. The 2022 fair saw record-breaking attendance, and the 2023 edition aims to be even bigger.

​Sep 15-16

Set in Wiarton's Arena and Bluewater Park, the fair boasts a range of attractions. Highlights include a Horse Pull, live musical entertainment, the official opening ceremony, the exhilarating Farmers Olympics, a quilting show, light and heavy horse shows, and a dedicated family zone. The latter offers face painting, engaging games, and a delightful farm animal petting zoo.

Sep 28-30

Celebrating its 160th year with the theme "Family Ties and Apple Pies," the Ripley-Huron Fall Fair offers a rich array of activities.Highlights include family amusements with midway rides, live music performances, a freestyle motocross show, and various competitions including an Ambassador competition and a tractor pull event.

​Sep 30-Oct 1

Port Elgin Pumpkinfest is a two-day festival in Port Elgin that showcases international pumpkin growers and features the Cinderella's Carriage Classic Car Show with over 1,200 vehicles. The event also includes the "Pub-Kin Crawl" and various community activities. Recognized as one of Ontario's Top 100 Events, it heavily involves the community with over 200 volunteers and numerous groups participating.

Oct 6-8

Organized by the Tiverton Agricultural Society, the fair promotes and educates on agriculture, conservation of natural resources, and community beautification. Events include a Midway, Fall Fair Quilt showcase, Truck Pull, activities for kids, and an Ambassador program.

Oct 13-15

Organized by the Walkerton Agricultural Society, the fair is known as "Walkerton’s Little Royal Fair". The fair promotes awareness of agriculture and improvements in the agricultural community. Events include horse shows, Field to Fork displays, a midway, baking and sewing competitions, crafts, projects by school children, and various food stalls. The theme for this year is "Welcome Back".
